Cyberstalking

I need to do more research on this topic and once I do I'll post a new blog.

My friends and I joke about "stalking" each other on Facebook, keeping up with who's poked who, who said what on whose wall, and who added new pictures from their night out on the town. But I have a hunch that this could be extrememly dangerous.

I've looked at some profiles of random strangers on both Facebook and MySpace and from those 2 minutes on the profile I could give you an address, phone number, class schedule, and picture. Any of those alone could still cause problems, but when all together it creates a recipe for disaster.

I'm a huge fan of these sites and I truely believe there are benefits to using Facebook and MySpace. But every now and then, I question how much information I should be putting out there about myself. And every now and then I go into my profiles and delete more and more simply because I don't want someone knowing all the details of my life.

Just a few thoughts, but I do want to look further into this topic to see what's (or who's) out there.
